Alicante the beautiful city

Alicante is the capital of the Costa Blanca region and boasts a rich history and wonderful attractions. The city's more than 700-year history is evident throughout the old town, which is filled with picturesque streets and charming squares. The old Arab quarter, Santa Cruz, is located in the ancient riverbed and is made incredibly attractive by its beautiful little houses and flower-filled balconies. The promenade is decorated with plant patterns and the mosaics display the colors of the Spanish flag.

Alicante's famous cultural institution is the MARQ, or the Archaeological Museum, which is one of the best museums in Spain. The MARQ features numerous exhibitions showcasing ancient history and culture, from prehistoric times to the Arab occupation and Christian conquest.

The city offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation and recreation as well. San Juan Beach is one of the largest beaches in the city, spanning more than 7 kilometers and offering a range of facilities. Nightlife in Alicante is also very vibrant and entertaining.
